Do you have AI on the agenda, or in your hands?
Sopra Steria on product development and AI. Transformation competence, hands-on experience and the questions leaders must be able to ask.
It is not enough for leaders to talk about AI, follow developments or place it on the strategy map.
They must also have enough hands-on experience to understand how the technology actually affects strategy, prioritisation, ways of working, accountability and value creation.
On Tuesday I took part in Sopra Steria's professional session on product development and AI. For me, the meeting was a clear confirmation of something I have worked extensively on over the past year.
AI is not only about IT competence.
It is largely about transformation competence. 💡
Leaders should not become technologists. But they must know enough to ask better questions:
🔸 What should AI do?
🔸 What should people still own?
🔸 How must we measure impact?
🔸 How must ways of working change?
🔸 How do we connect AI to strategy, tactics and operational execution?
I have completed the GenAI for Business master's course at BI, but the learning does not stop there.
On the contrary.
Through AI Value Lab Oslo, my own AI projects, prototypes and collaboration with external environments, I have become even more convinced of one thing.
💥 AI is best understood when you actually use, build and test it yourself.
This is where the difference between tool use and real value creation becomes clear.
AI moves from being a side project to becoming part of how the organisation is managed, developed and improved.
Thank you to Anders Morthen, Andreas Tjernsli, Ragnhild Ljosland, Thomas Almnes (Sopra Steria), and Torbjørn Sitre (DNB) for a professionally strong and relevant session. 🙏
