Oslo Business Forum 2026 – The Human Edge

Commercial leadership, transformation and practical AI – expectations ahead of OBF

Oslo Business Forum 2026 opens with the theme The Human Edge. I look forward to discussions on AI, value creation, performance culture and how the leadership role is changing.

Marius Ottesen – Oslo Business Forum 2026, The Human Edge.

Oslo Business Forum 2026 starts tomorrow, and I look forward to two days of professional input, new perspectives and good conversations.

This year's theme, The Human Edge, aligns very well with what I am working on right now.

Through my own company, Marius Ottesen Consulting, I work at the intersection of commercial leadership, transformation and practical AI. An important part of this is precisely about value creation, which is why I especially look forward to the discussions on how companies can move from AI hype to real business value.

Technology is developing rapidly, but the real competitive advantages still lie in people, judgement, leadership, customer insight and the ability to execute change. That is why I find this year's main theme particularly relevant.

I also look forward to perspectives on performance culture, customer orientation and how the leadership role changes when AI becomes an increasingly integrated part of the business.

Last year's OBF also became more significant for me than I had anticipated. That was where I truly understood that I had to take the AI wave seriously. Shortly after, I enrolled in the Gen. AI for Business master's course at BI, and that choice has again contributed to me partly adjusting my career direction. Read more in takeaways from OBF 2025 and the reflection on strategy, AI and the master's programme.

So let's see what OBF 2026 sets in motion this time 😊

If you are also at OBF, feel free to send me a message. It would be nice to grab a coffee and exchange a few perspectives. ☕
