AI does not create value until everyday work changes

From AI Value Lab Oslo: interest and demos often stall in everyday work. For SMBs it is about the right use cases, rapid testing and practical value creation – we welcome contact to learn more.

AI does not create value until everyday work changes

We see a pattern:

🔸 Leaders are curious.
🔸 Employees experiment.
🔸 Some have attended courses.
🔸 Many have seen impressive demos.

Yet much still stalls.

Not because interest is missing, but because everyday work takes over. AI drowns in the time squeeze.

Nicolai Tangen at the Oil Fund has pointed to an important insight:
When some people learn faster with AI year after year, the gap becomes hard to close.

The question is therefore not only whether AI can create value. The question is how long you can afford to stay on the sidelines ❗

This is not about technology optimism. It is about competitiveness, learning speed and the ability to adopt new ways of working.

For many SMBs, the question is no longer "should we use AI?" but where to start.

SMBs rarely have large IT departments, dedicated AI teams or time for long strategy processes. At the same time, there are many concrete processes where AI can create value. To name a few:

💥 Customer service.
💥 Sales and follow-up.
💥 Booking and administration.
💥 Internal communication.
💥 Market insight.
💥 Documentation.
💥 Training.

The hypothesis at AI Value Lab Oslo is simple:

Value comes when AI is connected to real workflows, clear accountability and concrete improvements.

We are now developing a practical approach:

🔸 Find the right use cases.
🔸 Prioritise what creates the most value.
🔸 Test quickly without making it complicated.
🔸 Ensure responsible use from the start.

That is why we want contact with more SMBs.

Not to sell a finished solution, but to understand where AI work stalls, which processes steal time, where uncertainty is greatest, and which use cases can create value quickly.

💡 AI Value Lab Oslo remains a learning and development initiative. But the direction is becoming clearer:
From AI interest to practical value creation.
